Ever see a car accident? I’m sure most of us did and such accidents make us worry for our lives while we are on the road. Most of us indeed value our dear lives to the point of missing everything that life has to offer. Well I’m included in the population of the most that value our lives most but have you ever wondered who belonged to the non most? I have an idea. Come closer so that you can listen to how I come to know the people belonging to the non most.
I come to know this people not personally but through a view from a far. These are the people joining the V8 Supercars. Yes! The skilled car racers of V8 Supercars. My father told me that the moment the car racers steps on the engine, they are already risking their life. If a woman who delivers a baby is believed to have her one foot on the grave while delivering, it’s the same with the V8 Supercars drivers. My father added that when the race starts, the only thing that is on a V8 Supercars racer is the finish line. He doesn’t think of anything that might happen during the race. When the announcement of the start of the race was heard, I focused my attention on the cars running down on the race track.. If I didn’t know that someone was inside, I would see the cars as I see the toy cars of my little brother. As the cars safely passed the 2nd lap I prayed but even before I can finish my prayer, two cars crashed. The race continued but my attention was no longer in the race but on the two cars surrounded by a team of rescuers and paramedics. There were other three cars that crashed before the race ended. On our way home, my father asked me why I was so silent. I told him my concern and he laughed loudly. He told me that the drivers are fine and would survive with broken bones and bruises. He casually added that it is what makes V8 Supercars exciting. After telling me that, he again focused his attention on the road. The moment I was able to touch my personal computer I immediately searched for videos of V8 Supercars. What surprised me is that most videos that came out are about crashes during the race. There are those that flared up after crushing and there are those that simply turned upside down.
True indeed that there are those that simply obtain bruises while others obtain more serious injuries and most of those racers meeting accidents come back to race again. I know you are going to ask why this people come back for more. My answer is that they belong to the non most but it doesn’t mean that they don’t value their lives. They do, thru the crashing excitement that V8 Supercars can bring them.
